Getting involved

We run a parent rota system to encourage parents to stay and ‘help’ once or twice each term.  This gives the parents an opportunity to feel part of the pre-school and see their own child in their pre-school environment.  Parents of new children are not expected to come during their first half term to enable their child to settle in.

At the end of each term we hold an informal session where all parents are invited to join in. At Christmas this is a nativity play, at Easter we arrange an Easter Egg Hunt and in the summer we have a Leavers party. These are great opportunities to see all the children together and to meet other parents.

We are a committee run pre-school.  You are welcome to join the committee at the annual AGM either in one of the main roles or as a general member.  The Committee meets approximately once every 6-8 weeks to discuss the running of the Pre-school and to plan fundraising events.  Every year we run fundraising events such as the Christmas Fayre, Children’s discos, Bingo night and a Toddlerthon.  There is also the opportunity to join the helping hands team , which involves helping at events rather than being on the committee itself.  Being a Committee member is a great way to meet new people, and to have a say about how your child’s Pre-school is run.
